I studied typography as a grad student in 1992 with Phil Baines at the California Institute of Art. Honestly it was a life altering experience. I credit to a large extent of successfully completing an MFA in graphic design 1993 to the influence of visiting artists: Phil Baines, Andy Altman and Jonathan Barnbrook.

Due to the influence and inspiration of visiting artists Phil Baines, Andy Altman and Jonathan Barnbrook I successfully earned my MFA in graphic design at the California Institute of the Arts in 1993. Thanks Phil!
